someone else’s story

as you’ve already know I’ve started Gekiken~

but what you and I both didn’t know is that my instructor is the only person in Singapore who flies to Japan each year to train for a week or so. you see gekiken is the predecessor to the famous Kendo, unlike Kendo it has lesser restrictions as to the places one can attack to gain points. so to practice this art, he flew all the way to japan on his own to learn it.

I’m impressed. please visit the website he created at www.gekiken.org!

sounds of a passing train

my favourite outing was walking from my grandmother's house
to Holland V to buy Kinder Surpise  chocolates!
once i was lucky to see the train pass below me
 while crossing this bridge~

what awaits us after the first tunnel?

a beautiful scenery ~

to fully enjoy my railway experience I walked most of the trail on the steel beams
but really,
my fondest memory was of the people who passed by me and cheered me on
an old man looked at me and said
"keep going girl as far as you can without falling off"
as he walked away he told his friend who nostalgic it was
to see a child balancing on the beams
^^ that made my day

a scene i thought i'd never see in my life...
girls in school uniforms walking on railway tracks..

once it was a brilliant railway connecting two countries

wow. we never see any overhanging cables any more in this city!

the end of our journey.

Where Am I?
